If you look properly on Asus website it's only for certain product numbers (PN).

All the ones on their site start 80, mine starts 90 so obviously my card doesnt need this bios update.

mine starts 90 aswell, however im still experiencing driver failure after 10-20 minutes.

Ill take a look at the clocks and volts of your GPU.

I can send it to you with better clocks and volts. 800 / 1025mv is far from overkill and pretty much every GTX570 are able to do it. As for coolinf, the DCII dont have any issue running over 1.1v.

I tryed 1150mv this moring and all went good until 940mhz, crashed

it cashes on stock clocks the only thing that makes a bit of difference is upping the voltage and decreasing core clock from 747-737. and it really bothers me to underclock my new VGA it should run stable out of the box. this is the first time ive even had problems with an Asus product their customer support is terrible makes me want to switch manufacturers b4 skyrim

Same problem on my 560. Can't update the bios because of that error.

It's taken them quite awhile to fix it too...

Hey guys....It's not any one particular card, its that the 570 models are crashing in BF3. Two days ago I bought an evga 570. Same problem as McNulty (love the name btw). I crashed and crashed and tried new drivers, underclocking, different res, etc etc, and kept on crashing. Today I said eff it, took the card back to frys and got a Galaxy 570. Exact same problem. It's pretty effing lame if you ask me, because when I upgraded the drivers on my 275 nvidia pimped the 570 to me and insisted I needed more juice to "be ready for bf3". Being the dutiful consumer that I am, I upgrade, and although the game looks awesome, it only looks awesome for 2 minutes before Im looking at my not-awesome desktop again.

It sounds to me like Asus is the only company that has released the bios update to improve stability in dx11 games, but even asus users cant install the bios.

Unless someone (who should be paid by nvidia) fixes this in 24 hours, I'm taking this new card back to Frys as well. No sense in upgrading if I'm getting constant crashes in the only game I need it for.

So it seems the whole 500 series is Bunk. Im upgrading because my last card an 8800 gtx just fried. If they cant fix this soon im going to return and get an ATI

i had a asus 560ti cu2 top oc and bf3 worked fine for about 3 hours, then it started crashing. so i did a bios flash and it was fine after. since then i got my self an asus gtx570 cu2 and iv got the same problem but this time like you guys the bios flash did not work.
so iv put the voltage up to 1.070, core clock to 800, mem to 1955, its ok so far at this setting. this card will oc alot more and plays other games fine. i dont think anyone should worry about there cards, its just the game that needs a patch or two plus the graphics driver needs an update witch im sure they will sort out soon, i hope.
