Nvidia Geforce Galaxy 210 1gb Overclocking Help

Thread Starter
Hello,

I've been using the XtremeTuner HD by Galaxy Tech and there are 3 modes for the 3D PERF. MODE I've been setting it to 790mhz clock speed and it seems to worry me that it will soon double the stock settings which is 475mhz for that mode.

For the 3D LOW.(3D operating frequency) I've set it to 595mhz clock speed.
I would like to know if this program is actually doing any overclocking as the numbers for 3D PERF. MODE is very high and I'm worried about killing my graphic card

THanks

I don't really know what to say about this, I killed a 210 just by running 3Dmark Vantage on it, let alone trying to OC it.

sigh, should I OC it, and I've been using 3dmark to do stability tests, will overclocking this cruddy $20 graphic card give me any "better" performance possible 3+ fps

I'm with scorpion with this you are better off just getting another card more suitable for games...... imo i would rather buy another than burning a card for the extra 2 frames....
Small wonder.

I had a 220 GT in a media center that I OC'd like 50mhz and it seemed to make a small improvement. Make sure you have enough cooling though.

If you're going to OC then I would suggest re-applying TIM, when I took my HS off the 210 I had (asus) it was just some rock-hard glue stuff to keep the HSF in place, not even real TIM.

im probably just going to give up on overclocking the graphic card, instead going to overclock cpu biggrin.gif
