best cooler for a 2500k max OC

so atm i have my 2500k at 4.3 with a 212+ but the temps r up there ahh i can basically buy any cooler other than a full water loop i can do the H100 or like a NH-D14 but i don't want like a 3 pound cooler hanging of my board but ahh i was thinking my max oc would be as high as i could go at 1.38-1.4v so like 4.8 to 5.1 but all input is welcome and thanks in advance also any cooler you think is up for the task let me know

The Thermalright Archon is a pretty good cooler and is not in the 'beast' size category that the NH-D14 or Silver Arrow is in.

It beats out a lot of good coolers out there and is mid pack in terms of price (compared to the beasts of course).

Another good option would be the NZXT Havik or HR-02 Macho, they don't perform as well (overall in most reviews I've seen) as the Archon but are very close to it.

Google the three choices for reviews and have fun my man!

What temps are you at now? I'm planning on ocing an 2500k with a 212+.

TY140s have great db/airflow. The updated version of archon comes with TY150 fans which are a bit better (according to specs)

Thermalright Archon performs very similar to its big brother the Silver Arrow but is practically half the size. I say go for it. It can easily take your 2500k to its max OC

That's what I'm using, @ 4Ghz idle temps are 27-32c.

But, load never ever goes above 53c on only one core.

Really really impressive I can get 4.6Ghz but I don't need it so no point.

Define "up there". I'd say that you are above 80C at 4.3, then something is wrong. The 212+ is an awesome cooler and keeps my 4.5GHz OC around 70C (room-temp ambient).

How much voltage are you using?

try the noctua nh-c14. it's a great cooler and is low profile as well. my 2600k @ 4.7 never went above 80 even through an 18 hour prime run. I really don't think anyone makes quieter or higher quality fans than noctua either. that's of course an opinion.
