Project 'Learning Curve' 800D, xfire 6990, aquaero 5

This will be my first venture into custom building, overclocking, water cooling and Crossfire setups. All components are ordered and I expect delivery in the coming weeks.

Main Components

Case: Corsair 800D
CPU: i7-2600K
Mobo: Asus Maximus IV Extreme Z
Video: Powercolor 6990 x 2
Ram: G.Skill Ripjaws X 1600MHz 4GB x 4
PSU: Corsair Professional Gold AX1200
Keyboard: Thermaltake eSports MEKA G1

Cooling

Cpu: Swiftech Apogee XT REV 2
Gpu: Swiftech Epsilon HD6990 Full Cover x 2
Rad: Black Ice Gt Stealth xFlow 360 and 240
Fan: Gentle Typhoon 1150rpm x 8
Pump: Swiftech MCP35X x 2
Res: Koolance RP-402x2
Control Aquaero 5 xt + waterblock, poweradjust 2 module
Tubing: 1/2 x 3/4 Tygon
Fluid: Feser One F1 UV Red
Ram cooling: Zalman ZM-RC1000-Titanium
Fittings: Enzotech compression and 45 deg

Misc (Owned pre build)

HDD: 1TB Caviar Black
Mouse: Logitech G9x
Displays: Acer x223w 22" 1680x1050 x 3

Questions and comments are more than welcome. This machine will be used for gaming and CAD projects. Future improvements will include SSD boot, Caviar Green backup, and 2560x1600 monitors.

Plan will be to remove lower 3.5 drive bays and install the 240 rad in its place. Depending on cooling performance the 360 rad will be in a push or push/pull config.

Overclocking goal is to reach 4.5-4.8 ghz with less than 1.4 volts, perhaps slight oc to the gpus in future.

Should make for some fun learning!
Stay Tuned for pics

Realized I clicked wrong forum... very sorry

Thanks to Bitemarks and bloodstains for the move!

I've started to think of the best way to pipe up the cooling, here are a few ideas:

A. Serial 2 stage pump
Attachment 237775

B. Serial boost pump gfx first
Attachment 237776

C. Serial boost pump cpu first
Attachment 237778

D. Dual loops
Attachment 237777

My current favorite is C.

I decided to go 2 pumps in hopes of keeping sound levels to a minimum.
Your opinion would be appreciated as well as other possible configs.

I think dual loops are your best bet with the 2600k being cooled by the 240 and the GPU's being cooled by the 360. Only change I would make is possibly mod the top and put a 480 in rather than a 360. 2x 6990's do produce a decent amount of heat.
