How to lower voltage without lowering voltage

hello
im curious if anyone has some ideas/suggestions
regarding lowering my voltage imparticularly while gaming,
as when i have used prime 95 to stresstest, it doesn't
use as many volts as when i game.

currently using 2500k at 4.4 and while prime 95 stress test
goes to 1.28 to1.30 under load during gaming the voltage
ranges from 1.32 to 1.34...any less voltage and i crash during
prime 95....

i currently have a 'offset overclock' using a asus p67 pro board.

can anyone help me lower my gaming voltage to match the one
i use prime 95 with? c3/c6 disabled c1 enabled

I think that experimenting with different Load-Line Calibrations will help. I recommend trying Ultra High, High, or even Medium and seeing what each setting yields.

I took my LLC from Ultra High to High, and it works fine now.

I used to be getting BSoDs at idle, as the offset would undervolt my processor, but a lower LLC allowed me to increase idle volts while keeping my load volts around 1.325V.

compensate i had to add .025 to the total which ended up
not helping as the gaming volts were higher (although similar)

i have yet to try high or ultra high for this build, considering
i suspect it would raise the voltage compared to medium?

By the way, you don't have to press enter at the end of each line: just keep typing and it will automatically wrap for you.

Anyway, yes higher LLC settings reduce the allowed vDroop. I mean, Regular allows more vDroop than Medium, Medium allows more vDroop than High, and High allows more vDroop than Ultra High. Extreme is usually the one that results in vRise.

You see, vDroop is a natural behavior of the CPU, so higher LLC settings simply restrict it. So not using LLC at all would allow for 100% of the vDroop to occur which means that the lower LLC settings aren't dropping the voltage, but they're allowing for more vDroop. So, the higher LLC settings hold the vDroop back more and more the higher the LLC setting is.
