why do i get so much lag in bf3? - Page 2

Powerline adapters can work really well, but then again they can just not work at all. It depends on your house and your wiring. In my current house it doesn't work for me. Personally I've never had a problem with wireless.

You could always give Leatrix Latency Fix a try (did wonders when I played WoW on wireless)

EDIT: isn't limited to WoW btw, works for all games wink.gif

This.

But on topic, On certian masp, you will lag no matter what. I have gone into servers with 30 ping and 0 lag. Then the map changes and its laggy. Once it changes again, it doesnt lag. Its probably just the game.

The powerline things work pretty well. My friend has one in his house due to a similar issue. He gets the same ping to servers as I do (we live within 20min of each other, and my rig is eth directly to my router), the only downside is for whatever reason he has trouble keeping a server up if he hosts (tends to lag). But, he does not experience any lag when he is gaming. and his computer is effectively the same as yours but intel and nvidia comparable components.

If you have a retail store that allows restocking-free returns, Id buy one and try it out. Try it for however long their return is, if it works keep it. if not, get your money back.

They cost about 150USD for a good one retail, etail is cheaper of course but returns cost you most of the time.

i use the powerline kits as my wireless kept playing up.

I don't regret it at all. My speeds are much faster and the 1 nect to the router is plugged into an extension lead as well.

These are wat i have
