They're making games because people are willing to pay for them and play them. I don't know about you and everyone else, but I want Rockstar to keep making as much money as possible on the series, so they can [in the future] payroll even bigger GTA games, with better acting, voicework, and artwork (great artists cost lots of money).
I would not care one bit if they turned GTA into the COD series where they release essentially the same game every 6-12 months on the same engine, because I play GTA for it's fun, story, and experience, not for it's polygon count. I still play GTA1 & 2 on both my desktop and netbook. GTA is fun, period, and I don't see myself getting tired of the series as long as they keep up the great work they put in to each release.
you realize you are posting on an overclocking forum?
many enthusiasts, myself included, like to see technical advancements,
this is very obviously a rehash, it may be OK for casual gamers such as yourself who don't care about visuals, dynamic environments, and high player counts. I've played all the old GTA games, and beaten them all 5x. I really want my face to be melted off by something extraordinary, otherwise I'm pretty much playing the same game over again, GTA V is really GTA IV with a new map. I'll wait till I can grab this game from the bargain bin for $15
