Sorry if I wasn't clear... I've never signed up... at least I don't remember doing so.

I've found countless threads that have helped in my OCing journeys... thanks to you all. Google is a great tool.

Per the recommendation on the i5 vs the i7 and going with a better vid card... I've been looking at the 570's....

I've been a fan of EVGA products for some time... I see they offer 9 models of the 570 cards... which one to choose?!?!? One has 2GB of memory vs 1GB, one has two fans, and several offer higher clock speeds....

Also, one of you mentioned the COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 in place of the Corsair "liquid cooler." Is there another cooler at that price point ($25) that offers better or equal cooling? I've used Zalman and Artic Cooling in the past.

Any really good reasonably priced cases out there? I'm looking at the COOLER MASTER HAF 922 although it's not the nicest looking case in the world and would probably be pretty loud. I'd also looked at the Corsair Special Edition White Graphite Series 600T although its quite pricey!

Thanks!

Actually, those cards are all 1.25GB except for one 2.5GB...weird. And really, which one you go with should be based on personal preference and the user reviews. The higher-clocked ones are simply factory-OC'd, and they should be completely stable overclocks. Usually the difference will be anywhere from 5-15fps. Lastly, I would recommend staying away from the reference cards (the ones with the thousand-bladed, horrible-looking fans) since they have awful cooling.

On the subject of the HSF, you will be hard-pressed to find a better cooler at the price the Hyper 212+ is offered.

Guys. I'm still trying to decide on a case. Any recommendations for a solid, quiet and cool case?

Great motherboard, if you're doing a high spec gaming rig then I would consider something a bit beefer than the 560ti. Don't get me wrong, it's an epic card, but if you have some something like a 570 or even 560ti's in SLi it'll be a better start.

PSU is great, however it's overkill, you could run this system on a 550w PSU. TBH, I would probably get rid of the H60 and get a cheaper HSF (the CM212 hyper is epic) and get a cheaper PSU and get a better GPU. Also the H60 isn't entirely liquid cooling in the normal sense of a watercooling loop. It performs like a high end air cooler.

Samsung F3 or WD black the whole way for the hard drive.

I would also consider getting the ASUS P6P67 LE rather than the pro to save money on the motherboard to go towards the GPU.

Don't get pre overclocked cards, you can do that yourself.

Comps
After reading your post I started looking more at motherboards. The LE and PRO are only about $20 apart right new due to sales and rebates. With that said, is there a better board out there in the $100 - $170 range for the system I'm wanting to put together?

I'm still open to suggestions.

1) Both cases seem pretty nice, not sure if the Corsair is worth the extra $70. If there is a better case out there in the same price range, please suggest.

2) I'm not sold on the mobo I've picked out, again if there is a better board out there at the same price range, please make suggestions.

3) On the EVGA 570, I'm still not sure if this is the best pick from the bunch. They all run around the same price. Like I've said in previous posts... I'm a EVGA Nvidia fanboy... however... would I be getting a better deal jumping to another brand or even going the ATI route?

4) I've read your responses on the PSU, however, I'm having a hard tim finding a more suitable PSU at such a great price.

5) Is 8GB enough? Would 16GB be a better choice? Also, is this the best speed and the best type of Corsair RAM?

6) Seagate has treated me well over the years. I'm willing to jump ship... but here again I'm running into a problem of finding a similar price on WD or Samsung. I'd love to do a SSD and HD with this build but the prices are way high!

7) LCD monitor seems to have good reviews and is at a hard to beat price... again I'm open to suggestions on a similar priced 23+ LCD.

8) Blue-ray drive.... doesn't really matter a whole lot to me... certainly need a CD burner...suggestions welcome!

Thanks in advance!!!

Get the 2.5 GB version. More future proof. 'Nuff said.

I plan to build my new PC in the December ~ January timeframe. This is what I currently am looking at...

-Intel Core i7-2700K Sandy Bridge 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623i72700K
-ASUS P8P67 PRO (REV 3.1) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
-CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
-EVGA SuperClocked 01G-P3-1567-KR GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16
-CORSAIR CWCH60 Hydro Series H60 High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
-CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX750 V2 750W
-Seagate Barracuda ST31000524AS 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s
-SAMSUNG Black Blu-ray Combo SATA Model SH-B123L LightScribe
-Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit - OEM

I also plan to add a second HD (perhaps a SSD). This will be my first time using liquid cooling... I've used Arctic Cooling and Zalman air coolers in the past.

I'm also still undecided on a case, I was thinking about:
-Corsair Special Edition White Graphite Series 600T Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Please provide suggestions on hardware, cooling, etc. This computer will be used for general computing as well as gaming. I'd also like to get the most out of it performance and life wise.

Thanks!
So this will be a mainstream rig!
I would suggest a totally different rig.
cpu- i5 2500k
mobo- asus p8z68v pro
ram- 2x4gb gskill ripjawsX cl9 1600mhz
gpu- hd7950/gtx670(upcoming)
