uhhh not really..... if hes going to get a 23" that only does 1080p at that resolution the regular 1.2gb 570 will be just fine but unless hes going to sli and go surround than the differences are very minor and not really cost effective. Just because a card has more memory doesn't mean its "future proofing" it depends on his resolution and his plans.

TL;DR: if you plan on going 3x 23" monitors grab the 570 2.5gb if not 1.2gb will serve you plenty. but even then looking at these graphs you will have to decide....

For another $25 I could double my memory to 16MB with 4 x 4GB Corsair Vengeance... doesn't seem like much of a cost up but would I notice a difference?

I've never owned a MSI card... cooling seems to be pretty good on that one. What is their warranty like?

The evga classified has very good cooling, heavy oc capability, lifetime warranty.
The msi TF3 has great cooling, heavy oc capability,3years warranty,
you can go with any of these cards.

ditch the 2700k and get a 2600k. if you're buying this system for gaming then you'd be best off with a 2500k. take what you save and buy a better graphics card, like a 570. Also consider a beefier power supply so you could use sli/crossfire down the line.

If you're gonna be building this in December, you might as well wait for Sandy Bridge-E CPU's to come out. Everything may change by then anyways.

Yes sorry... 4 x 4GB. RipjawsX or Vengeance doesn't matter to me.. both seem solid. Main question is... should I do 8Gb or 16Gb?

Also, what is the diff berween the blue and black Vengeance sticks?
