Seriously, "personal data"?
In the above instance, my "personal data" is "user no.2383393 of group no.243498498 searched for a vet".
What is the problem and how is this much different from the tonnes of non mobile device related data mining that goes on already?
exactly...and if the data is used for businesses in your area then you might get more selection of services you actually want or need.
The same goes for Internet tracking. I very seldom click on an advertisment, but I'd much rather have my usage tracked so I get adds of stuff I am interested in.
People always jump the gun and think these companies are selling your credit card numbers or something. Like I said, the only thing really bad is the actual selling...I think they should cut us into it or else give it out for free so that it is put to good use. There really is no way it can be put to a bad use. They don't have enough info to even send you junk mail. (and junk mail is good...the Postal Service needs the revenue and you just toss it in the recycle anyway)
