What's the difference between the p68 chipset and the z68?

Also as part of the future proof I am going to get an nvidia gtx 580 twin frozr III lightning 1.5GB version however want to ensure when I sli it in the future there is enough room between the two cards to avoid over heating
The WS Revo is a great board that I'd prefer over those. It's a WS combo mobo with a slot config that gives a slot of spacing after each card. With the ability to use all slots (help of NF200, which isn't much though)

It also has an onboard Intel NIC which has better drivers/reliability than Realtek solutions, while going for a good price ($220 on Newegg last I checked). Review here;

www.hardocp.com/article/2011/01/05/asus_p8p67_ws_revolution_motherboard_review/7

And the current differences between P67 and Z68 are onboard video and an onboard SSD for caching, which aren't much use. To sum up, I'd suggest a better P67 like the board above over Z68.

I have the z68 pro and the auto oc turned my 2500k to 4.8ghz, but be careful using it as the voltage can go a bit high

With the z68 pro and p68 pro would there be sufficient room to run 2 cards in sli using 2 x 16x pci e

The cards in question would be 580 gtx twin frozr III lightning 1.5gb

Yeah, had the tf3 and a gainward goes like hell gtx 570 in sli, no problem, but something like the dc2 will probably cause problems

I'll likely get an i7 2600k what would be safe recommended voltages for this. In addition does the tool oc memory automatically also I'll be looking at getting 16gb 1600MHz corsair vengeance

Thanks for the advice, I wont get more than 2 graphics cards so I think the Asus P8P67 Pro P67 should do just fine. These should both run on PCI E 16x on both though right?

The WS card is a big jump in price - who knows i'll check prices first, should build this machine some point next month

there are two pci e 16x slots but in sli mode they will be 8x. In all honesty it wont make a difference unless you are looking for benchmark results. Gaming wise there won't be a difference, or ever so slightly. Might be a good idea to get a confirmation on my statement
