Screen tear when watching movies

Watching a 720p movie on my 50" LG plasma.

its connected with a 5m HDMI cord to my PC.

I am experiencing alot of Screen tear with alot of HD (ready) movies. and its driving me nuts. What can I do about it?

What program are you using to play these HD movies?

Take a screen shot of it happening to make sure it's not the PC or actual video and post it.

If vsync is enables then maybe try and enable it with a vlc profile through ncp

Here is the a Print screen when it happened:

it only seem to happen on the TV, if I drag it over to my Monitor it doesnt Tear.

Try making sure your TVs refresh rate is correct.

VLC will only have problems with slow computers..

You could try forcing vSync in the nVidia control panel

no change.

LG support said my Computer is the culprit due to my Cable reciever not tearing.

I mentioned my 5m HDMI cable and he said that also could be a reason.
