How many years ago was the first time you overclocked a computer, and what was the CPU?

My first overclock, which happened to be my first custom build, was a 939 Athalon 64 4200+ X2. After six years, it's still going strong running a 2.5Ghz OC at 1.45v in an asus A8N-SLI premium mobo powered by a seasonic 550w 80+ psu. I still game on it occasionally with its evga 8800 gts 512.

My first attempt at a stable overclock was on my Q6600 a few years ago. I did 3.4GHz stable 24/7 on 1.35v.

First cpu I attempted (but didn't keep it at the speed due to temps/volts/and fear)

Socket A Athlon XP 2600+ from 2000 mhz to 2300 mhz and it ran HOT (stock cooler)
2 x 512kb Adata 400 mhz
Asus A8V7-X (I think?)

First cpu I actually used a OC on:

Socket 939 A64 3200+ Venice from 2000 mhz to 2600 mhz
2x512mb AData 400 mhz
Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe

24/7 OCs in order of acquiring:

E6400 2.13ghz @ 3.2 ghz + GAP35-S3G
X2 3600+ brisbane 1900 mhz @ 2612mhz + T550SE
Q6600 2.4 @ 3.2 ghz + P5B Deluxe WiFi
E2180 2.0 ghz @ 3.2 ghz + GAP35-S3G (switched with the e6400 and was sold on a Gigabyte G31 at stock)

Same chip and mobo, but it had SLI 7800's.

I think the first machine I overclocked was my trusty PowerMac G3(beige). Had a 266mhz Motorola 750(aluminum) CPU.

Pentium 60, pushing a 10% overclock was dead easy, and it was stable too

The next one was a Celeron 300, yeah, the world renowned first major clocker's chip. Next was a pair of Celeron 366 chips on an Abit BP6, they went up to 433MHz.
