Is the u2312hm an 8-bit panel? It says that it only produces 16.7 million colours which is what most TN panels produce? It does say 82% of the gamut though which is still only marginally better then some of the TN panels out there.

it's a 6 bit panel.

Basically dithering to allow for more than simply 6bit. But it's still not natively 8bit.

ha calling dell to try and lower the price didn't work at all all i got was other monitors are garbage and we give you free shipping and 3 year warranty for free.
BenQ BL2400PU and hte original benq i mentioned any good?

I like my HP ZR24w. You may be able to pick one up cheap now that HP have/are introducing a new line. 24", 1920x1200. I haven't really done any gaming on it, but I've found the only people who complained about ghosting and etc were coming from CRTs.
