Dual GPU block setup

Two Aquacomputer aquagrATIx for HD 6970 NICKLE blocks are in the mail and I'm trying to figure out the best way to link them in my loop.

They recommend "straight plug&cool connectors as fittings." I know there are all sorts of options, serial, parallel lilnks, traditional tubing, etc. I like the setup below with no tubing just the extension fittings.

Is there an easy way to determine the length/amount you need? My cards are separated by one slot but there are other factors too, like the bulky of the derlin ports, etc.

Also, isn't is possible to direct flow into the first card, cap off both bottom ports of the bottom card and direct the flow in and out of the top card?

I find it's best to measure the distance and buy the D-Plugs to suit.

Not sure about the answer to your second question but, and this is a guess, you may not get adequate flow to the bottom card.

Second question, me thinks not. That arrangement would would see the coolant flowing through the bottom waterblock fine but there would be no flow thought the top VGA waterblock. The top one would be full, but there would be no channeling moving fluid through.

Yeah, I wasn't sure either. I thought that was the principal of parallel flow but I thought the water would go down, hit the base of the bottom card and begin to flow into both cards being the paths of least resistance, then up out the top, but mb not. I'm trying to avoid the long length of hose coming from the bottom across the case^^

I'll figure it out after a few more beers.

the d-plugs make me nervous...

1st question : You should install the cards in and measure to be sure what you need.
2nd question : I doubt it. You wouldn't get good flow at all through the bottom block. You might be able to do it with a SLI/XFIRE bridge, but I am not sure as I haven't ever got to play with one... (I want to though. ) And, you don't want one.. lol

I've only been using D-Plugs for a few weeks but no problems so far and they do have double o rings. I used a tiny bit of silicone grease on them though as they wouldn't turn more than a couple of mm without it and were a pig to separate as well.
