So what settings did you end up with. I haven't put to much time in mine and got 4.3ghz. Im sure if I could spend some more time on it I wouldn't have a problem higher but not sure.

Enabled C1E,C3/C6,EIST and Intel thermal monitor.
Enabled LLC set to level 10
Vcore 1.45
qpi/vtt 1.27
CPU PLL 1.83
DRAM 1.51

Drop vtt to 1.15, 1.27 is wayyyy too high. Drop PLL to 1.7-1.74v, no need to go over 1.8v. Have you enabled PLL overvoltage?

And i guarantee level 10 is too high of LLC. Try level 6 or 7. Level 10 is probably shooting your vcore above 1.52v which is Max. Are you monitoring voltages? You should be.

You're going about it all wrong, suggest you read one of the many guides on here.

And its not the board, its the chip.

I am monitoring voltages and with said settings vcore is drooping down to 1.39 under load and never above the 1.45 PLL over-voltage is enabled.I have tried LLC level 6 and 7 no real changes in voltage. and at lower settings its not prime stable.I have read every guide and post I can find related to SB and there is not one single oc template here for the GB z68 boards. It will boot into windows at 5.0 and run great but will fail prime and crash any game.Would you mind posting your bios template ? I would assume your z67 bios is similar to the z68.

FYI I am not new to oc have oc every pc I have built for past 10 years.Took last i7-950 to 4.2 on a GB x58 without much hassle. SB is just not playing well on this GB Z68 mb for me.

You have to understand that SB is very picky at higher multis. Myself, along with many others don't recommend going off of others templates, because we've found one Sandy chip is very different from the next Sandy chip. Your chip may very well only be able to do 49x, and 50x may require too high of a voltage, its very common. And the only thing holding us back now, are the chips, the boards are more than capable of doing it now.

Also, your vcore should not dip like that with Level 10. Even level 6 should keep it about where you set it in bios. Level 10 should make your vcore rise under load, not drop. Is your bios version up to date?

Set qpi/vtt to around 1.15v, set Pllv to around 1.72v, pLL overvoltage to enable, aand LLC to Level 6. This is where most Gigabyte users start from. Then just raise vcore until stable, or you reach 1.52v or 80c.

We need to sort out this LLC thing.
