Hey there guys, im gonna buy my next smartphone in the next weeks and im really in a tough situation as this will be probably the most expensive smartphone i will buy till now so this makes it an important decision so i will be most satisfied with my new phone..So to make things a little bit easier for you, we only got two participants.
1)iPhone 4S
Everybody knows this phone...We know its strong points, we know its weak points. Reasons i wanna buy this are:
-I have been using iOS and iPhones the last 3 years, so this makes me very used to them and if i said im not confortable with iOS devices and generally that super-smooth OS i would be a liar. I know everything about iOS, ive even done some small simple apps and i know how it works. So buying something like this will be with no surprises(pleasant or unpleasant)..

-Design. One of the most beautiful phones out there. Used to be the most beautiful for me, until the second phone that will participate in this poll took the throne.

-Build Quality. Aluminum, Glass. Expensive materials...One thing i hate about most phones especially the Samsung superpower phones is their cheap, plastic builds..HATE IT, HATE IT, HATE IT..dont care how good those phones are. I would never buy something THAT expensive if it's made of pure plastic.

-App Store. Huge number of apps and games to choose from. Cant be compared to any other app market of the other Operating Systems and phones..

-Camera. I heard this baby got a really good camera improvement compared to the last iPhone 4...And from what i've seen from samples i can say im more than impressed. But we all know Apple's great marketing tricks and commercial power so i NEVER trust those commercials or reviews, especially from not known sites or users. For example when somebody anonymously sends to a website a video sample of the phone which is phenomenal quality i cant say i can trust this..

-Gaming performance. We all know apple's chip has a really good graphics performance. I am a gamer clearly and playing games in a such a good quality makes the gaming experience better, even if the experience is never perfect because of the iPhones tiny screen(yea, im sick of it...3 years still same screen size..ffs)

So we have come to our second participant:
2)Motorola Droid RAZR/XT910 RAZR
all this years i was an Apple fanboy supporting blindly everything Apple offered to the world and i was happy and proud about it. Today i am still supporting Apple but with a lot of suspicions cause im tired of their dirty marketing tricks...Refering to trying to sell products to people, presenting them like something new to the world, while this exact product/service existed long before it. They just improved it, not invented it. And people are buying those nonsence. First when i thought about moving from my trustworthy iOS to Android i said...NO...but after all that research i did on the web i say i had a change of heart. I thought "Why not?" I could try out Android and see how it fits me. If it doesnt i can go back to iOS, so i got nothing to loose. What this exact phone charmed me with are:
-Design. Yea in my opinion this is the phone that won the design throne and the most beautiful phone for me. I admit it has a rather strange look at some people hate and some people love. Im one of the people who absolutely love it. Its super thin, has a big screen..Love it...!!!

-Build Quality. Steel, Kevlar, Gorilla glass on the screen..Nothing to add here. Just the best build quality i have ever seen. Expensive materials in a rather good looking phone.

-Screen Size. As i said im tired of trying to watch a video or browse the web with the tiny 3.5'' screen that Apple provides us. I dont care how good Apple's phones are. Its been 3 years since the first iPhone and this time i expected an improvement at this field..at least a small one.

-Customization. Yes i know, adroid phones are much more customizable than iPhones..i like that..!! a lot

-Expandable Memory..unlike iPhones standard 16/32/64 GB memory this phone provides me with an SD card that i can upgrade to increase my capacity.

One of the specs of the phone that worries me are the Camera(some people say motorola doesnt equip good cameras to their phones, maybe this time this will change), the motorola UI that they added on the Android for this phone(heard its laggy, dont know if its true...Can i change that UI on the original Android Gingerbread or ICS?) and wether i will be able to get cracked apps like on the iPhones..is there any way to jailbreak android phones?

So it seems like i will be giving a chance to Android to prove itself to me as im more than willing to find out or i will listen to the people who support iOS and stick with an OS that is more than familiar and comfortable with me..

To all of you, who will answer. Thanks in advance for your time

From a former iPhone fanboi who switched to Android phones...its well worth the switch. I never regretted it once. The ability to customize the look makes the iPhone look like a childs toy.

The android app store is very large as well, maybe not as big as the apple store, but there is more then enough apps there to keep you busy for the rest of your life.

The iPhone 4S is a very nice phone. Great camera, fast processor, amazing display and of course all the Apple support. But it is honestly not that much better than the iPhone 4. I played around with it and thought it was just a small update of an old phone. Siri is fun to play around with but honestly has had trouble lately with Apple servers and connecting.

The Droid RAZR has a very interesting idea to it. Seems to be VERY durable with the Kevlar added to the phone and it should help with speakerphone as there would be less vibration to cause that tinny sound other phones have. If you are a big user of Google's stuff then go for it but biggest grip I have with Android is the trouble syncing music libraries to their phones.

Another suggestion would be to look at Windows Phone 7. I have a HTC 7 Pro and I love it. Very simple setup, syncs with all my Windows and most of my Google applications, ties into my Zune music and video library and it has a pretty good camera at 5MP. Try one of the Windows Phone 7 phones out sometime and see how you like it.

Hope any of this helps you out with your decision.

for me it was very easy to pick... I needed at least 3 days of battery power and since I was able to just buy extra ones for my Droid and swap them in it was an easy solution. apple phones kinda stick you on the little things.
