RAM Issue

Thread Starter
System Setup

955 BE (OC @ 3.7GHZ)
2x4 Corsair Vengeance 1600 9-9-9-24
Sapphire 6950 1GB
AMD 890G UD3H

After doing an re overclocking my CPU, my computer won't boot into windows, it says it's rewriting the bios image. My new OC has higher NB and HT links than the previous ones which was just a multiplier OC.

My stock timings of 9-9-9-24 could be booted into was stabled Prime 95 Blend 2 Hours + on both the previous and current OC, however my current OC won't boot unless I have my ram timing settings on auto which are 11-11-11-29. Any ideas why that is?

Hello, i have no experience in AMD Overclocking.

But maybe there are certain CPU/Memory related voltages that need 1 notch more?

If you are overclocking via increasing the fsb then you need to lower your ram multi. Sometimes you have to lower your ram timings (loosening) when OC'ing an AMD setup. The ram is fairly generic when it comes to timings. So that could be your problem. Either way troubleshoot with that.....

keep the ht at stock speeds (-/+100) by adjusting its multi
and similar with ram, bring down the multi by one
