Nice, I'm not very savy with this stuff, but does the cheaper lian li have full support for SATA 3, SSD 3, and alll that jazz the UD5 mobo comes with. It seems a little out dated, and I can't find the correct specs anywhere.
I suck at this recon.

.... Sata3...SSD3???

The only parts connecting your mobo and case are the front panel I/O and power/status lights. eSATA is the only sata you will see in relation to the case. If your mobo comes with USB3, you might wanna check if the front I/O panel in usb3 compliant, I know my Lian li is. I don't think the case is outdated so to speak, but then again, when the heck can a case be outdated

Good to see my newb qualities are baffling lol.
I'm just concerned the case won't take latest SSD's and HD's and PCI/PCIe slots

Cool, how about a dual cpu if I decide to upgrade?

Also can you recommend any RAS WC setups that are clear for the most part? Or I could just rinse out the blocks every 3 months anyways.

Looks like this tower will only fit 2 fans for the rad.

There is no way, in the world, that you will need dual CPUs for audio work, much less gaming.
In any case dual sandy configs won't be out until SB-E, and then you'll be looking at a metric buttload of cash.
But it is your money, although I can't see those cases supporting an SR-2.

Thanks for your ignorance. I can choke a 12 core system in one night, using Altiverbs and guitar rigs on inserts, instances of kontakt, PLAY, spectrasonics, and importing a video to score to.
I'm here to acquire info on certain components, not on what I already know.

I'm going with 8 dimm slots so I can eventually upgrade to 64gigs of ram. Didn't think that was possible in music production, now did you?

So in two weeks there will be a chasis for dual SB E server cpus?
Yeah those xeons are way too expensive, around $2000.

On a single stream of audio/video conversion a single i7 2600k for example does "some work already" in a matter of speaking, with the OP it's a "bit" more than that so he needs "HEAVY DUTY".

Keep on asking and doing the research - this is what I say to many people just making a computer case purchase decision.

It's the cooling of your system that'll come into play while you're trying to keep it quiet - it can be a tough "compromise" but I'm sure you'll find it.

You keep saying everything will fit, but this mobo has a lot of feature, lots of PCI slots

And this reviewer is saying sticky taping the SSD, no SSD holders = bummer
