Anyway as others have said, switches can be replaced if you know what you're doing.

Try pulling towards you a bit with your finger bottoming out the D key. It was a simple accident and I can easily fix it.

Be aware that if this fails I really doubt KeyboardCo will honor warranty...

Well, their warranty doesn't cover keyboard rage.

Another guy broke his Cherry MX keystem after carrying it in his BACKPACK and then acted surprised that the warranty didn't cover it.

I received my new switch yesterday and install was easy as pie. It's working perfectly fine again, except for the D key. It is still having issues registering. Any ideas on what to do about this? I figure maybe some water dried up and left some calcium on the contacts after I washed the board and let it dry completely. Can I clean the switch out with something?

Edit: After taking a close look at the Cherry MX switch that arrived closely before putting it in, I noticed how it was engineered. I was able to remove the 'D' switch and take it apart without an issue. I made sure the contacts were clean and reassembled everything. Looks like my board is back and working like it should.

Congrats!

If you ever have problems again with the Cherry MX switch try the debugging guide here.

just buy new switches and replace them.
talk to user "Marcglw" at h t t p://forums.vr-zone.com
