Which is better
Corel Photo & Video X4 Ultimate Bundle
or
Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 plus Adobe Premiere Elements 10

I have been using adobe premier elements 8 photo and video
I guess my install 20 times has ended my software agreement.
I hate those stupid complications, I was wondering does Corel have all the same weird software agreements. I miss back in the day when you bought software, that's it, only requirement don't pirate or steal my work, and the software is yours. KISS, It never seems to happen until your in the middle of something and you get the pop up that you want to punch. I would like to avoid this if at all possible. Upgrading seems cool but, but when the software completely closes or gives you a few days, its like this sucks.

Though this is not quite what you are asking, i figured it would at least give you a place to start.

Iceflow studios on you tube and the web, recommends a photo editor called "pixelmator" http://www.pixelmator.com/
It is supposed to be fairly comparable to PS but only about $30.

very easy to use with good quality video editor that i often use is "Camtasia studio". The latest version is 7.1 this sells for $300 though. http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.html

Also for free, you could use windows movie maker. This must be downloaded from Microsoft.

Sony Vegas pro is also about $300
Sony vegas movie studio 9 used on amazon.com is only $60. I have never used this program though, so i can't say if it is god or bad.

Thanks for the help, I tried a older version of Sony Vegas, for only a little bit. It didnt flow for me like adobe software. I guess the crazy thing where a person gets stuck is when you use the software then its hard to switch. I looked on Corel's site and there software has some very nice features. Just don't know how hard it is to use the software, or make the jump from using adobe. I did a little looking around there doesn't seem to be much for information or comparison fourms, it would be nice if there was a unbiased reviews (other than company based) for good inexpensive photo video editing software. I dont even know if the new sony vegas is worth while route, how modern versions are, maybe little easier to use. People really seem to like it. Always been adobe fan but to get any good software 500.00, 1000 +. Kind of expensive for a hobbiest having some fun.

even has wmv. its nice to have software compatible with windows default programs. Can jump around alittle program to program. Yea looks like for free too, cant beat that. Meant to ask you about your camera, Canon Rebel XS D1000 they seem like a wicked cool tool. I am extreamly amateur at photography, but its on the shopping list. Or some thing similar, like the sony. The sony seems cool cause its compact 35mm replaceable lens, just wondering if the features even come close. I know you cant compare lens variations, but you generally cant move around with those primary stills.

We have a good photo thread on this site: http://www.overclock.net/photography/
There is also a thread on Sony cameras there.
I don't know enough about them to give you advice there.

Through this link here, you can get a refurbed Canon slr for $320 instead of $450-$500 in stores.Keep in mind the D1000 is the cheapest slr you can buy.
