Can't get all 12GB RAM to show - Help!

Thread Starter
Hey, I bought 3 sets of 2x2GB ram and put them in the slots. I booted up my computer and checked the System Properties and noticed that it was only showing 8GB of the 12GB, then I waited about a week and decided to put in 1 more RAM stick to see if it would work, it did so now I have 10GB ram... I just tried putting in the extra stick and it went back down to 8GB in the System Properties, but the thing is that it shows that it's 12GB RAM on CPU-Z but NOT the System properties (shows only 8GB). If anybody could help me with that it would be great! thanks

Strange, have you checked the qualified memory list? http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Int..._1366/P6T/#MSL

Did you happen to change any settings in your BIOS? Try resetting it to default settings and speeds and see if BIOS can see all 12GB.

Everything's set to default, and on my box it says it supports over 12GB of ram.

Run memtest and see what that says. You might have a couple of faulty sticks.

I'm sorry but, what is "memtest"? I'm sort of new to all of this so yeah... =/

Okay, so I ran the MemTest and it said...

"Memory error detected! Copying between f109a54 and f1098b5 did not result in accurate copy.

MemTest has detected that your computer cannot accurately story data in RAM.
You need to fix this.

See the online FAQ question #2 (http://HciDesign.com/memtest) for advice on what to do next.
