Eyefinity Question - Page 2

Yup no argument on the mini/DP being a requirement, just on the active adapter part. Unless i got lucky and the adapter is active and i didnt realise it, but i think this unlikely.

No, you are not wrong or get lucky. DP/MiniDP to VGA/D-Sub adapter has a built-in DAC (Digital Analog Converter), but in Eyefinity setup recommended to use adapters listed here http://support.amd.com/us/eyefinity/...y-dongles.aspx

You will need a miniDP-to-DVI(active) or miniDP-to-VGA. As Ken pointed out, the active adapter is the recommended method by AMD, but i can confirm that the non-active VGA adapter will work. The active adapter is a reasonable amount more expensive.

Does the Dirt3 come with a MniDP-VGA active adapter? If not, you have to get one of this
Your monitor setup:

Monitor 1, HDMI > HDMI
Monitor 2, VGA > VGA-DVI Adpater connected to upper DVI port (lower DVI port will not work with adapter).
Monitor 3, VGA > VGA-DP Active Adapter (link above).

Your monitors only have HDMI and VGA inputs, no native Display Port.

The one in my link is $24.99 < ----As per AMD Configuration.
In your above link is $25.99 <---- dashaman Configuration.

It is entirely up to you. All the informations already provided to help you in this thread.

Please let's know how the Eyefinity works out with your choice of adapter.
