If you pass at least 12 hours of that, you'll be absolutely ROCK solid.
Alrighty! have done the above and now testing! thanks again for your amazingly fast response time!

If you pass there....push it harder yet. You could go to 310 or 320 (or more) HTT clock, so you can get that NB clock up even FURTHER (lower other multipliers as necessary).

I miss tinkering with AMD systems. If it weren't for the raw performance on this 2500k, I almost want a 1055T system just to toy with, lol.

2500k = power house! I had never done any overclocking till this current rig. Its been a real learning curve! Fun.. at times frustrating, but im slowly getting the hang of it. Is there a point where NB clock starts to hurt performance?

Nope. NB clock, however high you can get it, the faster it'll be.

I've seen:
4.0GHz CPU, stock 2.0GHz NB
3.2GHz CPU, 3.2GHz NB

The stock clocked CPU with the overclocked NB performs better in most of the cases. NB clock speed makes a BIG impact, just as much as CPU clock speed or more. So the highest you can get it, the better. Of course you do still want your CPU to be as high as possible too. RAM would be the last thing to worry about.

When you're all said and done, you'll want the best combination of CPU, NB, and RAM speed that you can get stable (in that order).

I had a 1100T before my 2500K, and I have the exact same sentiment. There is something just so gratifying about overclocking these AMD chips. The Sandy Bridge chips just aren't as fun, even though they overclock very well.
