Have you already flashed the card?

There are SLIGHT difference's ...
voltage, quality of components, quality of VRAMs, etc., so it's not JUST a software /or BIOS difference between the cards, though SOME cards, like say the Sapphire TOXIC use most of the same components, PCB, voltage, etc from the Rev2 HD6970, so if you Unlock and OC that card, it's 99.99% a true blue HD-6970.

Why do you ask are you running into problems with your card / flash ?

I've read somewhere back that some of the cards don't do so well with a FULL FLASH, meaning the particular 6950 card didn't like the 24/7 over voltage of running on the FULL 6970 BIOS, so in a case like that, Just Unlock the Shaders, and OC at STOCK 1.100v don't run it at 1.175v 24/7. But MOST Quality Production cards {like a Sapphire Reference Card} should be able to handle this just fine.
