What about the Mac Mini?

Cheapest one has
2.3GHz dual-core Intel Core i5
2GB RAM
500GB HDD
for £530 and I don't think you can get anything as small that is an actual desktop computer with those specs for that price.

The 2.2GHz 15 inch MBP seems reasonably priced as well.

This phone cost $1,000,000

This phone cost $20

The $1M phone will have more features which makes it better than the cheap phone. I am not saying Mac can do things Windows/Linux can't (well actually it can but a majority of the time it can do the same things) But for some people all they want to do is the basic things. With those phones as the example the $20 would be better than the $1M phone.

It is ironic because so many people that hate on Apple products are ill informed and riding the mainstream hate for Apple products by the "PC" gaming community. See my next point for my criticism of "Just as good'

Cheaper is factual, you should focus on that and why.

Better is completely subjective and is not an argument point AT ALL without qualifying it. The OP has stated over and over again WHY it is a better solution for him so you can't really argue that point.
