just bought a 17" macbook pro! - Page 8

Man, after using the Thinkpad x220 for a while I can't imagine using a 17" laptop ever. If I ever get a Mac it'd be the 13" Air or at most the 15" MBP.

There's so much room for your palms! I could probably fit my entire hand next to the trackpad haha. Amazing looking laptop though. I wish I could afford one.

really now? ever have one break on you??? sent in my g73jh once because the screen stopped working. took them 10 WEEKS TO FIX IT. then when i got it back, they felt they didn't need to wrap my battery with any kind of protection, so my battery was all smashed and useless.

then i unwrap the laptop and it looked like the guy packing it was eating KFC at the same time, greasy finger marks ALL OVER IT. disgusting.

i will NEVER EVER EVER buy another Asus laptop again......EVER

yea in retrospect i think i should've gone with the 15" its a big enough screen with a bit more portability.

but oh well. I'm still happy with the 17" but the area below the keyboard definitely looks weird with all that empty space.

I hate how it STILL doesn't have a full keyboard. All that unused space... I am happy with my m14x though.

i thought that would bug me as well. but it turns out i like having the keyboard centered more than having a number pad.

This.

I would have to say Alienwares overall laptops and support are better.

Not sure how apple does the repairs, but I am guessing they just give you a whole new one lol.

Congrats man! That lappy is sweeeeeeet!

Check out an optibay to give you room for an SSD in lieu of the DVD drive. SSDs in macs seem faster than in windows when you upgrade imo.
