The 17" MBP is grossly overpriced. In my opinion the only Mac worth the money is the Air and maybe the 13" MBP, everything else is just ridiculously overpriced.

I facepalmed so hard when my friend used up all his savings for a "Mac" because he wants to follow the crowd. I simply told him you could've gotten a just as good laptop for less if you dropped your mainstream attitude.

From my experience people who buy Mac/iPhone aren't aware of what they're buying and doesn't realize there are cheaper and better alternatives. This is partly due Apple's propaganda advertisement usually in this form:

It's also because people don't know what choice is and decide to buy whatever the guy with a Louis Vuitton bag sitting beside me buys.

like i said before, i have 2 PC's that i built. i don't follow the crowd, i don't buy it because its cool.

I had android phones, pretty much every Droid verizon came out with.
every single one had horrible keyboard.
very laggy OS
constant reboots.
apps running in the background that won't shutoff, which in turn take RAM.
horrible battery life.

i bought an iPhone 4s.
its made of high quality glass and metal, not plastic.
it syncs with my car perfectly
never reboots
battery life is insane.
camera is so good i don't need a point and shoot camera anymore
iOS is super smooth.

now my gaming rigs are nice, and i love playing all kinds of games at super high frame rates.

but for a laptop, i wanted something that would integrate with my iPhone perfectly. I wanted a nice screen, great battery life, and the trackpad.

That is why i got a Macbook. i DO NOT need to play battlefield on my laptop. no need whatsoever.
This Macbook is for work and productivity. Also for going online and integrating my mail and iCloud service.

The ease of use and seamless integration with my phone is worth it.

i don't need a sager with SUPER DUPER FRAME RATES yO!! I'm not a child. I prefer something that works for me.

No. Never said that.

Why did you even mention Microsoft?

I'm not a hippie and I know how capitalism works. Still, there's varying levels of greediness. Apple isn't anywhere close to enslaving people, but it's closer to that than other companies.

I believe an ssd would yield higher performance boosts.

Why stop there? 16 GB kit. 512GB SSD. F1 car.
