Recommend me a CPU cooler :) - Page 2

Are you open to looking at the Corsair H series? I would recommend an H80 or H100 with aftermarket fans like GT AP-15s if you're looking for 5ghz. The H80 should fit no problem in most cases. If you want air cooling to get you to 5ghz, its going to be big.

here is a pic of the top of my case forgive the mesh in the way but you can see there is plenty of room between my cooler and my ram.

I don't really understand the issue when it comes to ram clearance. Personally I recommend buying the best cooler you can afford that will fit in your case.

When it comes to ram you can make adjustments. Your talking the ram fitting under a fan not the actual heatsink. So with this you can make minor modifications to move your fan up, remove the ram heatsink or both.

I can fit ripjaws with simply positioning the fan a little higher. I think you can make adjustments yourself.

Personally I would remove the heatsink from the first stick and buy the best cooler I could afford if positioning the fan wasn't enough.

extreme performance:
"Liquid"

H60 H60

Or
H80

Now I don't know how well the Hydro series work on Intel (Probably much better). But I know my H60 with one of these as a pusher and the included fan as the puller installed in my RV02... I get real close to H80 performance. (But Smaller and much more quite)
