I wouldn't pay 140 either.

The AD700s have too little bass to enjoy music, IMO. If you listen to music with bass, you won't want these headphones.

I would recommend the AD700's. Simca recommended them to me a while back and they are amazing gaming headphone and they are excellent for music as well. The fact that they are bass light doesn't bother me since I listen to metal.

Ultrasone Pro 550 is the best all around gaming headphone with bass under 150 hands down.

The M50s are poor gaming headphones. They have no soundstage. The 595s are too pricey for the quality they offer. They are bass light as well. Very bass light.

woah! thanks for the tip i will make sure i dont do that anymore. im sorry.
as far as headphones go, you really think the ultrasones are better than the m50s? i have read tons of reviews on those things and they all say that those are the best headphones u can buy under 200. Any other opinions on that?

I am pretty much down to the ATH-M50 and the Ultrasone 550 pro. Who else can vouch for which is better?

The HFI-580s would be better than both. They have a better sounds stage then both and very nice bass. they used to go for under $150 but are hard to find at that price. The Ultrasone DJ1s still do which are the same headphones with a different look and coiled cord. For gaming and movies I would choose them over the other 2 any day. If you are mainly looking for music headphones go for the other 2. M50s have a little more bass but the 550s have a better sound stage. And dont get me wrong the HFI-580s have great bass as well.

Edit: So yea, I would seriously consider waiting or looking for a pair of HFI-580s or DJ1s in your price range, you wont be disappointed especially as a gamer who likes bass like myself. If you must get one of the 2 you mentioned, I would go for the 550s because you're a gamer.

I disagree. I believe the Pro 550s have a much larger sound stage than the 580s. The 580s offer slightly more bass. S'bout it. I believe the 580s are inferior to the Pro 550s.
