Thank you everyone for the replies. I think I am going to go with nckid4u idea. the shoggy sandwich is too thick.

how would you mount the pump? hot glue gun?

if im not mistaken, these look similar to fan silencing grommets. in that case, you would drill out a hole, insert the grommet, and use a screw to attach the pump.

if look at the video in the link and skip to like 8:45~ it'll show you how to install the grommet, and instead of a fan grill, you would screw on the pump. hope this helps.

IMO grommets do not absorb vibrations as well as foam/sponges.
If you go into your kitchen you can just cut up any sponge and paint it with a sharpie to blend in.

works best if you never added water to the sponge since it contracts.

I just use the rubber pad that comes with the bitspower pump mount for the MCP655 then foam pad 1cm then sponge 2cm then foam pad 1cm.
Installed onto my chassis via a long bolt with two neoprene washers on both ends. The washers you can pick up at HomeDepot for $0.50 for 4.

If you have a MCP350 DDC-1T, then using a neoprene pad is the ideal choice. Jab-Tech and a few of the UK WCing sites offer this for the DDC pump series .... http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/p/Sw...-Kit_1210.html

The thickness is 3/8-inch or 10mm. You can easily get this at Lowes or ACE hardware.

The ideal design for the pad is to cut a circle in the pad about 1-1/4-inches. This will keep the bottom cool and have less vibration transmitted from the pump center.

Usually this neoprene pad is black and works well with the color of the pump.

I used to have my pump hanging from the res. Works well, but not exactly pretty to look at. I ordered 2 shoggy sandwitches for my build, but I cant recomend them yet as I stil havent tested them.

If you don't want to spend money you can cut an old mouse pad into a shape like what bmaverick posted. It worked well for me until I got the 402X2.

that sandwich thing is literally two mousepads hotglued to a sponge.

The ONLY way i can even tell me pump is one is by touching it. Im using the mounts that come with the MCP35x Heat sink. I just zip tied through the bottom of my case to the feet.

Inaudible...period.

You could try doing it this way.....as was done by one OCN member for another member. Looks classy huh?

yeah....that happened.
