[Yahoo]Verizon is spying on you - Page 4

In fact, here's an estimate as to what your private information is worth to Verizon

http://designmind.frogdesign.com/blo...ata-worth.html

That's a couple hundred $'s Verizon is making off of me if I allow them to use my data. Do you really want to give Verizon that much money for free?
Shouldn't you at least demand some money off your bill in return?

But that is slightly different because those cameras aren't taking pictures of your private life and then selling them on to make a load of money without telling you (even though it would be in the Verizon TOS but no one reads them) and they do take pictures of you in public spaces. I don't care if someone knows what websites I go on if I go on those websites in a internet cafe or at Starbucks or some other place with free WiFi. But on your own private phone or possibly computer if you are using a 3G dongle, no. I don't think they should even be allowed to do that without having mass advertising with clear instructions on how to opt out. If you don't mind having no privacy, could you give me all of you bank details? No? I didn't think so.

EDIT: I am not bashing I am just making a point.

@Cavi is it okay for me to post your link on my OP?

Edit: I mean this

TO OPT OUT IF YOU ARE A VERIZON WIRELESS CUSTOMER:

http://www.verizonwireless.com/myprivacy

You'll see it in the privacy options. Just log in, and it should be fairly self explanatory.

At least they have the option for it.

Worst kind of idiots are those that say don't use it then.
Origin example:
user1: I want to play BF3 but I hate origin.
user2: Don't buy it then.
user3: don't listen to user2, he's an idiot.
*user2 either replies with more crap or thread gets cleaned of all user2's posts for trolling.

On the contrary to what some have said, there are privacy options for both wireless and residential. You might want to opt out on both accounts.
