Wouldn't doubt it. Though I don't see it as a boycott. It's just as simple as some people just don't want certain software on their PC. It's not as active as a boycott. It just literally kills the options, or interest in certain products.
If a game was only released over Gamefly for instance, I literally would lose all interest in it. I wouldn't be actively petitioning against it, I just wouldn't buy it. For the 2 million on Steam, I guarantee a big chunk of them, who were curious or would have bought it, just shrugged and said "nah". No more than that emotionally, or figuratively. They just stopped caring.
Once on Steam, I guarantee a healthy influx of new customers. The die-hards that were going to buy the game regardless already placed their bets. Now it's just opening the product to new markets. The ones Origin was never going to get in the first place.

Try again this afternoon. It's a school day after all, lol.
