What about the stuttering, memory leak, flickering textures and scope errors? Or what about the green/red/white screen flicker.

Is my theory correct on this?

EA made dice use the open beta more as a marketing tool than a real beta.

EA made DICE have to release before MW3 launch to grab market share.

Result = Game with underlying quality being marred by bugs?

I played the beta and thought it was quite fun, but still not enough to drag me away from counterstrike.

Turned graphics to high instead of ultra it runs ok on ultra but so much smoother on high.
I have always been a cod fan never liked bfbc2 and never played any other bf games but bf3 is amazing they have a few small teething problems but with the amount of people playing there doing good, I think some people need to appreciate a good game a little more and maybe upgrade their pc to handle it. Or do what a few people are doing and stop playing for a month until it is sorted.
I bet when steam first came out everyone hated on it as much as they are origin I think people need to learn to adapt with change a little more.

The entire list consisted of console issues or issues I haven't had.

My list:
  • Remove mortars or rebalance them so they aren't spammed by so many people, ruining otherwise good gunfights
  • Fix the green flashes
  • Fix the issue where textures will occasionally be flashing after loading a map, and the only way to fix it is by reloading the game. Even many times that doesn't help.

I've only experienced the flashing textures thing a handful of times, but I haven't had it happen at all since installing the XtremeG drivers. Hopefully that isn't a coincidence.

I don't understand all the hate towards the mortars...other than the fact that they are practically useless...but yet everyone else says they are OP or something....

I looked forward to unlocking the mortar but when I did, I used it and it sucked. I dont think it has like ANY splash damage and I've nailed a couple tanks with it and had to hit it multiple times to destroy it.

I usually never use the mortars cause it sucks and out of the ~200 games I've played so far, I've only noticed a handful of games where people were using it.

I guess it depends on the maps or game modes you usually play, but there are many times where they can just ruin the gameplay. Seine Crossing on conquest.. it's ridiculous. There are at least 4 or 5 people spamming mortars to the choke points on both sides most of the time. Sometimes they aren't bad, but many times they are.

It can happen on other maps too, where they get the volleys zeroed in on specific choke points, and all the otherwise fun firefighting at those spots is pretty much finished for the round.

It isn't really a problem on wide open maps.

Played MP for the first time today and it went very smooth (been playing only the campaign since I got the game). Maybe its just because I'm a noob but the map size did not seem like a problem to me at all...
