[H] AMD FX-8150 Multi-GPU Gameplay Performance Review - Page 14

This is pretty pathetic.
Get your stuff together AMD.

Its honestly just become boring to continue beating this dead horse. I was there with 2010rig and Iceman back in June when the first delays were reported "due to performance issues" and we were flamed to no end by AMD zealots who, to this day, refuse to admit it was even delayed (remember certain people calling Anandtech trollz?!?)! This is all AFTER they all had such a great time at Intel's expense during the Cougar Point fiasco (remember "Ready. Willing. And Stable."?) AMD fanboys couldn't wait to jump all over SB early-adopters during that mess but now that BD has proven to be so much fail they are all crying that Intel fanboys are beating up on them!

Still, everybody knows that BD is a failure for the moment so there really is no more point to rubbing it in. Maybe there will be a fix down the line. I sure hope so because Intel needs competition to stay motivated....

Not only that ^^^

But the 4 Core BD would get smoked even worse.

to tell you the truth I'm not enjoying this. I'm a HUGE amd fan. bulldozer just sucks plain and simple.
You know you just can say multithreaded because when you say well threaded it means that thread will stay on the core till it is finished which windows 7 doesn't do it has some mental disorder which says NOPE, this core can't finish this task got to move it to module D from module A thus flushing everything to snailish L3

In multithreaded applications that utilizes FMA they(Illuminati) are seeing 33% faster compute times

In singlethreaed applications with affinity to 1 core(no stupid traveling threads) clock to clock nothing really different between the SNB and FX

But we are talking about Multi-GPU solutions aren't we

NB 3.0GHz HT 3.2GHz problem solved <-- won't see this till "AM4"

Dead horse is dead, but seriously I hope that the next generation does better. I really wanted stellar performance from this chip even though I didn't expect it. Competition makes me happy as someone that likes to upgrade a lot.

I think then we could make unbiased assumptions on performance whether it works for them or against them. I mean, who is going to drive a Ford with a Chevy transmission anyway? Maybe if you scrapped some pieces from the junkyard. Then you expect junkyard performance.
I lol'd. How many fords have a glide or 700R4/TH350/TH400 for purely performance reasons? Oh wait...

But at the same time, I would like to see how it performs in CFX, because we already know the AMD GPU's are more tolerant of low bandwidth slots and slower CPU.

Exactly how long are Intel fans going to continue to justify their purchase?
I'm happy with the AMD chip I have now, and won't be buying this iteration of BD.
I never made any claims of BD being a great chip, and wished it had been better, but don't much care.
I'm just getting sick of this "Nyah Nyah na Nyah NA" stuff.
What do you Intel fans want?
A pretty stick on star for your cases?
You're all acting like little kids.

I have an MSI sticker...does that count?!
Naw seriously, I have 2 hexacore AMD systems and I love them both. They do what they are supposed to do. And by the time i got to the store to get my FX 6100 the Z68 board just seemed like a better buy TBO, no sense in wasting money on a pipe dream that's been going on for years now.

AMD fans didn't have any trouble rubbing the Cougar Point fiasco in our faces 8 months ago. Karma sucks doesn't it?

The best part was, all those cards were stock..

Imagine how much the gap would widen, if they clocked those cards up to about 900/950 core?

Ugh, it's so bad.

I trust this review as the [H] is legit and has previously sided in favor of AMD in the past.

Its unfortunate that AMD had to release BD as it is. The chip is horrible in comparison to not only Intel's current offerings but AMDs own previous generation.

I was not going to get BD anyway, but I sure hoped that it would have competed with SB-E 2011 chips so they could help drive prices down for us consumers.

Oh well. Its amazing how when I got into gaming and PC Building in 1999, AMD was the best choice for us... now it is literally the complete opposite.
