Best sound card and 2.1 speaker setup?

I am currently using an onboard soundcard and some cheap logitech 2.1 system...I would like to upgrade...Help?

O_o what budget or is it irrelevant? If $$ an issue hit better speakers a.s.a.p then take the set up to the next level via a decent DAC/Soundcard

pretty much this^

but i think that the Titanium HD (140$) with AudioEngine A5+ (350$) With some Polk Sub those will be amazing
