To PhysX or not to PhysX with GTX 570 and 260?

Thread Starter
Hey guys, just looking for some advice on my setup.

I currently have a GTX570 HD and a GTX260, and I would like to run a PhysX setup for Metro and Batman, but the tricky part is I have two monitors. Do I run each monitor on its own graphics card (current setup) or should I run them both off of the 570 and have the 260 for PhysX?

I guess my real question is how much does a second monitor effect performance of the card? Will everything still run on high settings.

Just FYI I have one 20" 1680x1050 and one 23" 1920x1080 in my setup.

if you have it, ou may as well run it for physx. having 2 monitors on your primary card will not affect performance

two monitors don't affect anything unless you have a 3D app on both at the same time

Though make sure you actually play games that will utilize PhysX first. I was going to do the same, but then I realized I don't even own any games that use it.

Though I thought I've read that a dedicated PhysX card could still run a monitor. Any one know if that is true?

a physx card can still run a monitor. its still a graphics card, not an ACTUAL physx card like the originals.

I was pretty sure that you could. I need to run three monitors and with nVidia you can only do two monitors on a card...so I have to run a second junk card for the third. Right now it is just an old x700 that I had laying around, but one of these days I think I will get a decent GPU to run PhysX on...but I need a game that uses it that I like first.

physx cards arent really needed. onl a few games that make use of them. but if you have a spare card, why not. but its not worth buying a card especially for it
