cant get screws out

Thread Starter
so i started taking apart my gpus to see how the universal blocks would mount and after an hour of no forward progress im at a standstill.

i have tried 2 different correctly sized screw drivers and neither one will work. i put a lot of pressure and twist and it keeps wanting to strip. on one card i managed to get 2 screws out so i can at least mount the block with screws diagonally. but i cant even get one screw out on the other card.

any thoughts besides drillin the fu(ker out?

Put a flat rubberband between the screw and the screwdriver. Works like a charm for me.

If you have any old screwdrivers laying around, maybe epoxy it into the screw head to extract it:S

Try needle nose pliers or screw extractor?

Most hardware stores will have them.
Not sure about walmart. They should have them though.

Those screw extractors will thread out the screws. Can you post a picture of what they look like first? Who knows, PNY might be in the habit of putting in torx screws on their GPUs.
