Highest Pixel Density IPS over 1080p

Thread Starter
I'm trying to find the highest pixel density IPS with a resolution over 1080p. Preferably, it would also be a high quality display that would work for gaming. No budget.

And please, none of the medical-lab quality displays. Yes, they are awesome, but they are completely impractical for daily use, and I don't have $10k to spend (OK, so I do have a budget; sue me )

You might want to look at Dell 30inch IPS Displays with a resolution of 2560x1600. LINK

Other than that you might find some very rare IPS 2048x1152 resolution 22inch or 23inch displays by Samsung, BenQ and a couple other manufactures which may be a cheaper option. LINK (not sure if it is IPS)

GO WITH THE DELL, ITS AWESOME.

Those 2048x1152 panels were TN, and are discontinued. I personally owned the Samsung 2343BWX before it died after a couple of months of use.

To the OP:
The highest pixel density that you'll find is 27" monitors with 2560x1440 resolution, all of which are IPS. The cheapest one currently is the new HP ZR2740w. There's also the Dell U2711, NEC PA271W or Eizo CG275W. That's also the approximate order in terms of increasing prices btw.

i have said 2048x1152 lcd panel from samsung but it is not a IPS, it is amazing tho and people that been playing on 1080 for years always comment how much better it looks. Its 30% more pixels than 1080p
