I hope you like it! I thought long and hard about what I was going to spend my money on for my next keyboard. I am honestly very happy with my purchase. I can clearly see these switches being either love it or hate it, but I love it!

I was in the same boat as you. I had a keyboard with blue switches and absolutely hated them. I bottomed out on the blues all the time. I got a Choc Mini a week ago with black switches and love it. In fact, I just traded a pair of headphones for a Filco TKL with black switches.

Some people get fooled into thinking that they won't like black switches for typing based on the fact that most people prefer lighter switches for typing. It's just more rare for people to like heavier switches for typing, and even for gaming people are starting to fall in love with light switches such as (reds, and browns).

In my situation, I picked up a Topre variable which is composed of 45g keys and below. I found it to be very nice, but also a bit on the light side. The 55g that I am using now is perfect for me.... but most people still consider the 45g or variable version to the best for typing.

It's best to not forget that you might be in the minority when it comes to your favorite switches. I found that out after purchasing and then RMA'ing a few different boards. It's good to always make sure you can take a keyboard back unless you really know you are going to like it.

It takes a lot of trial and error before you find the perfect switch usually. I wouldn't stop at just one you never know what you are missing. On the other hand you don't want to get addicted to trying new switches its a bad habit.

I also have a 6Gv2 with MX Black's. I much prefer the MX Blacks over the loud MX Blues on my Razer Blackwidow.

I don't mind noise, probably why ALPS are my favorite switches. Noise seems to be a big dealbreaker though to many people, too bad, it really eliminates quite a lot of great switch types.

Noise was a big dealbreaker for me, since I primarily game and type a whole bunch when my girlfriend is sleeping, and my desk is in our room. If I was clickity clackiting all night long, she would probably smash my shiny new keyboard over my head in no time, lol.

I would have bought a helmet or gotten her those air traffic controller noise blocking headphones

Lol, well I didn't like the clicky switches anyway, so it worked out well for both of us in the end.
