[SOLVED]Filco Ninja Majestouch-2 or DAS S Professional Silent

Thread Starter

This would be my first "real" keyboard, so I'm an absolute noob when it comes to the technical jargon of the keyboard world. Which one would be better for me? I type a lot of essays, blog articles, and game quite a bit. Also, from the minimal research I've done, I found that I prefer cherry mx brown switches (tactile+ clicky-) Help me decide! Any other suggestions also appreciated.

Deciding between these two:

*EDIT* Filco it is

Can't go wrong with either one. As much as I like Filco, I would probably go for the DAS as it it considerably cheaper. They both are great keyboards.

I had the Das Ultimate Silent, which is the exact same as that one except way cooler because it has blank keycaps. It is quite possibly the greatest keyboard, I tried my friend's keyboard and it's just not the same

Absolutely love my Filco Ninja. Pricey, but you get what you pay for.

The blank caps look stunning, except I'm not entirely at the memory typist level lol Problem is I use a mac keyboard, dell keyboard and a Logitech keyboard every day (work/laptop/desktop) so I mistype certain keys a lot, like the backspace, enter, and lower row of keys mostly. I despise the mac chiclet keys, not to mention the god awful magic mouse they make me use at work

So far there seems to be a consensus that both are great keyboards, might come down to the price...

btw love your sig rig. I have a similar build at home, but with a q9650

My vote goes to the filco, the smooth caps are nice and it really is a well built keyboard. I was able to try a das a few weeks ago and I liked my filco better. Either way though, both great keyboards, can't go wrong either way.

Side-printed keycaps are boss. I vote the Ninja based on that and the fact that the DAS is glossy, I dislike glossy.

Filco Ninja! If price doesn't matter, get the better quality and better looks.

Thanks for the feedback guys, went with the Filco, side-printed keys were too awesome to pass up.
