Good choice, the black case is just too annoying to put up with on the DAS. Even though the DAS has better key caps. I would have recommended a Leopold which has the no gloss case, and PBT key caps. Those ABS on the Filco can key pretty slick, and most don't like them over PBT caps. But, you can always switch up key caps if you decide to later.

Both boards are pretty good. But where was the Leopold on your choice list!

I saw that, i'm thinking of buying some white PBT caps for the Filco anyway (any suggestions where I can find some?)

Oddly enough Amazon had no Leopold products. I'm using my Amazon Store Card, so using another e-tailer wasn't an option.

Das keyboard always gets a bad rep for attracting finger prints but when you consider how many germs are found on a keyboard, then its really not that bad idea to give a keyboard a regular clean.

Personally I think Das is awesome and apart from the shiny surface you seldom here it being faulted in other areas.

Hrm...if you going to get new keycaps post purchase, then it would've just gone back to which one was cheaper...I thought the point of getting the Filco was that you'd get the side printed keys already, but if you're replacing them...then what was the point again?

I'm not getting them immediately, probably in a few months. It's an aesthetic preference more than a necessity, so it can wait haha.
