[Yahoo] Biggest jump ever in CO2 emissions - Page 12

It's entirely political because capitalism simply means that means of production etc are owned privately by individuals and corporations, in contrast to communism where the government owns everything. The way capitalism is done is entirely up to politics, whether they allow for a free market or not, and right now it's only an illusion of free market. You guys mix up lobbies with bad interests and capitalism as a whole. Do your research.

LOL...how much proof do we need? It is obvious that the temps are increasing...so many tests and studies have shown that. Sure they happen naturally, but there still needs to be a natural cause for it. So far the only change has been the solar flare activity and CO2 emmision increases. The solar activity cycle will peak in a few months. Once it starts going down we will know the real cause. Though solar activity cycles are only 11-12 years long and we have had a fairly steady temperture increase since the industrial revolution. So I don't think it will a surprise as to what the cause is.

I honestly don't care what the cause is. We humans might be able to actually control a natural climate change or stop a man-made climate change if we wanted to. I'd rather see research money go into stopping the warm up then all these global warming studies that people will ignore anyway.

Then again...I like the heat. I'd be pretty happy if the average global temp raised by 5°C or so. However, I have kids...and I don't know if they would like it if things were 15° warmer when they were older adults.

I have done my research, do yours. I haven't mentioned Communism yet, but If I had, I would like to point that that the government doesn't own everything. WE DO. THE PEOPLE. Democratic governments are for of and by.

Capitalism is built on exploitation, there is no denying this. You work for 8 hours, and the capitalism reaps all the benefits of your surplus labor. So while you did work 8 hours, he only paid for say 5 hours of that labor, the rest is all his.

This system obviously means that someone here is getting RIPPED OFF, and someone else is getting a great deal.

How can a system that has at the top a select few reaping all the benefits of the masses who continue to see the capitalist get a more, while they get less?

FOR 40 YEARS AMERICANS HAVE SEEN THEIR REAL WAGES NOT MOVE AT ALL. In that same time period, we work 20% more, inequality is greater now than it ever has been in America.

This is how I see Capitalism in America. Private until 29, then State controlled until the 70s, then back to private, and now we are BACK to state. Same goes for other advanced economies.. Germany, England, the list continues. it's always a pendulum swing from one to the other.

THE SYSTEM IS CHAOTIC. Eventually people are going to get fed up with their lives being thrown into complete chaos every 10 to 20 years because the CAPITALIST system collapsed.

We demand democracy for our day to day lives. Yet we IGNORE IT when it comes our economic life.

Capitalism was originally believed to be the way to deliver equality to the masses, that has NOT been the case. The more this system continues the more obvious the criticisms Marx had of Capitalism are.

I would bet 1000 dollars that you have never read marx, and your entire thoughts on "Marxism" come from the standpoint of the USSR, Cuba, etc. NONE OF WHICH EVER PRACTICED A MARXIAN ECONOMIC THEORY. They are or were state capitalist countries.

We sure destroyed the USSR, and the others. But they were never communistic. They just replaced the Bourgeois with Party officals. The workers themselves NEVER had ANY say in how things were appropriated. Which is a CENTRAL theme of Marxisms. Those that produce the surplus should have say in the Surplus.

So the battle of the 1900s was not Capitalism vs Communism it was Captialism vs State Capitalism. Of course those with freedom will win every time.

The idea of private property is insane, and will not last in the long view of history. It's only been around for maybe 400 years? Literature is full of philosophical thinkers who found the idea of owning land to be completely preposterous.

Don't get me wrong, Capitalism delivered to America, but the system is done. IT will never be like it was in the past. This country is always going to have a labor surplus, as opposed to the Labor shortage this country experienced for the last 150 years.

It's not that big of a jump. Who produces co2? Capitalist enterprises. Who is in charge of regulating these emissions? Capitalists(LOL They don't care they want more) and the Government. Who in Politics has more resources, than your or I could ever hope to have, to plow into discrediting, and ignoring global warming? Hmm, the Capitalist.

My personal view is that Global warming is real, but that it will be used by governments to just suppress freedoms more.

The real problem people is CAPITALISM. It's a bitter pill to swallow. But at some point humans will realize that we are being run over by the Capitalist class. I've said all I can.

If none of you are interested in reading Marx, which you all should do, since it has some pretty powerful insights into the capitalist structure. Then check out www.RDWOLFF.COM or youtube Capitalism Hits the Fan.

its most likely because China and India's populations have begun to be able to afford cars, we knew this was coming, and those 2 countries have probably most of the worlds populations.

Quick someone tell these developing countries to stop and use higher cost methods to slow its growth. Only we can use high CO2 emitting technologies to develop our countries then tell everyone else it’s bad.

I can't lower myself to your level of ignorance, capitalist this capitalist that, blaming everything on it. You have no idea what you're talking about, without structure, without businesses there is no incentive to work and there's no market. In your prefect world what would people do? You're using the example of some destructive corporations to describe capitalism. Without corporations, you wouldn't have a computer because without the combined effort and investment of big companies, anything would be too expensive to make. I can't believe people still believe in those ideologies where everything is wonderful and not a single person wants to break the mold. Get out of your fantasy world where you can blame everything on capitalism. and while living in a capitalist country nothing prevents you from living your life with your ideologies on your property.
