Unless 50 years later or more we probably will finally figure how to rip the fabric of time and space and actually travel in time. Who knows we can travel past the time where Dinosaurs died off and we can start our own Terra Nova? I can't imagine that otherwise we'd be living on new planets or co-existing help from Aliens?

Also quit exhaling, that is also contributing to the problem.
For all you know their power comes from Hydro/Wind/Solar.

Money is the core of the problem.

No, this exactly why we CAN have nice, convenient things.

There doesn't seem to be a solution to our CO2 problem, I guess we'll find out once all our natural resources are burnt up.

As long as time equates to money, where resources such as oil and gas speed things up, we'll always have this problem. Always.

Bah it's just a conspiracy by the laws of physics to make me pay more taxes. I read this on the internet so it's true.

I find it scary that some people here support population control. This is the most anti-American, anti-freedom idea. You guys must really admire Chinese society, dumping (or recently running over) little girls because everyone wants a boy. It's dangerous when people believe in both global warning and population control because soon enough, after we're done talking about man made global warming, we'll talk about controlling population to limit the number of "breathers" or should I say "exhalers" of that deadly gas called CO2.

LOL. Population control is silly, in the western world populations have stabilized, and once the rest of the world catches up they will as well.

America is not free though, you will never be free in a representative democracy that is beholden to corporate interests. WE are all slaves to those decisions that are made by people who actually do NOTHING but leech off of our labor.

It doesn't take a smart person to realize that over the last 40-50 years our democracy is no longer that. I'd never thought I'd quote Lenin, but I've learned way more than I did in my more ignorant years.

"Democracy for an insignificant minority, democracy for the rich – that is the democracy of capitalist society. If we look more closely into the machinery of capitalist democracy, we see everywhere, in the “petty†– supposedly petty – details of the suffrage (residential qualifications, exclusion of women, etc.), in the technique of the representative institutions, in the actual obstacles to the right of assembly (public buildings are not for “paupers"!), in the purely capitalist organization of the daily press, etc., etc., – we see restriction after restriction upon democracy. These restrictions, exceptions, exclusions, obstacles for the poor seem slight, especially in the eyes of one who has never known want himself and has never been in close contact with the oppressed classes in their mass life (and nine out of 10, if not 99 out of 100, bourgeois publicists and politicians come under this category); but in their sum total these restrictions exclude and squeeze out the poor from politics, from active participation in democracy.â€

What has changed? Well we now have universal suffrage, but that is about it.

Sorry to say folks, but we live just like the Serfs did, except now a select few of us become the lords through hard work, etc. So at least we got that far. The future will look at our current system and wonder like we do, why the hell the serfs suffered like they did in Feudalism.
