Will the 2011 macbook pro with the 6770m run skyrim?

Thread Starter
2.4GHz quad-core
Intel Core i7
8GB 1333MHz
750GB 5400-rpm1
Intel HD Graphics 3000
AMD Radeon HD 6770M with 1GB GDDR5
1680x1050

basically, the top-of-the-line 2011 15' macbook pro

what i want to know: will it run skyrim on par or better than the consoles?

Well, since no benchmarking info is out, nobody can give you a definitive answer. The hardware itself is definitely more powerful than current consoles, so I would say you can make it prettier for sure.

Yes, you can. Just turn down some settings at most. But, I am pretty sure Skyrim doesnt run on Mac, you just need to play it on Windows.

Unless you use Cider, that is; but I prefer dual-booting Windows. In either case, the hardware on a 2011 MBP should be able to handle Skyrim pretty well. 6770M has sufficient video.

I've even tested it on my mid-2009 MBP with onboard GeForce 9400M (256MB) and it works! Not too well, mind you; but at least it starts up and you can see everything.

I've even been able to play through the entirety of Deus Ex: HR, and I got good FPS on low-to-mid settings, though I was also sometimes struck by periods of performance hits.

Why is this thread in the AMD Cpu section? When the failbook has an Intel CPU? :|
