Readyboost, how does it work?

Thread Starter
Ok so I'm posting here because as the end result I would like how it would affect my overall Performance on my Asus 1001PXD.

Using stock settings on my Netbook, will be adding up for a total of 2GB's of DDR3 PC3-10600 RAM(single SO-DIMM slot)

So right now I'm using I have 1GB, a 3000MB Swap/Page file, and I have a dedicated ReadyBoost Enables 4GB Flash Drive.

How does this increase performance, and roughly how much performance would I gain by using this feature?

Thank you in advance for any information I can get on this topic
