Quick ASUS CPU Level Up Question...

Thread Starter
I have a Rampage 2 Gene and was looking into all the features for overclocking and came across the "CPU Level Up" feature. Now I'm wondering if anyone has used this and if there are any dangers to it? I boosted my 920 to the 940 setting and ran Prime95 for a few hours with no issues and max of 61c but was kinda worried that there might be danger to using this verses doing it myself. Anyone know anything to help ease my worry?

I'd never use it myself for prolonged periods since fine-tuning is better for obvious reasons, but my experience has shown that such small boosts are 100% safe. smile.gif

In my experience, the CPU level up feature is perfectly safe... but like sinner said, manually overclocking will yield better results, as the OC's done by CPU Level Up are super conservative when it comes to kicking up your voltage.
I've posted CPU-Z shots of overclocks done by CPU-LE and have had people comment that my voltage was so low they were amazed I Was stable at 3.9

Hmmm so what would be your suggestion for a good overclock? Would I have to change the voltage or could I run 150MHz BCLK with 20x Multiplier at stock voltage or is the 1.21875V CPU voltage and 146MHz BCLK for the 2.93GHz CPU-LE okay for long term?
