R3E SLI running x8 x16

Thread Starter
Hello ocn

Anyone know why my cards in SLI running x8 x16

1st pci slot

3rd pci slot

Noticed this because i'm getting PC freezing in BF3 also noticed the cards voltages aren't the same duno if that's a problem.

R3E :

2x SLi = 16x(1st slot) / 16x(2nd slot)
3x SLi = 16x(1st slot) / 8x(2nd slot) / 8x(3ed slot)

But basically there are no difference between 8x/ 16x unless you play on very high resolutions (2-3 screens)

Voltage difference shouldn't matter I think, unless one card has too low voltage to perform on 100%

The 1st and 3rd pci-E slot run @ 16x. Not the 1st and 2nd.

Cause you don't have enough room to plug your second card in the second PCI-e x16 slot and they have to run @ x8
