The newer Cooler Express units are said to be tuned for 280w. Your previous results seem to reinforce this. Obviously the capacity has degraded quite a bit over the last month. Check to make sure the condenser fins are clean and that both fans are working properly. If that checks out ok then there could be a leak somewhere or a blockage in the captube.

A properly tuned and healthy SS unit can easily hold down a 980x at 1.6v 5.1Ghz. http://www.overclock.net/phase-change/914021-cooler-express-2010-2011-ce-48-a.html 300w is no where near the limit for a custom SS unit.

Khalam, was this a custom unit I built for you or a unit we had tuned for 300 watts from the shop in Taiwan.

I know I should know this but I have built and sold a lot of units over the years and dont recall the specifics of this one.

I went back and re read all your posts and saw no ware that you report a cpu temp higher than 80 C . Although not a good thing ..... certainly not enough heat to kill the cpu ? I would also think that if heat was an issue the cpu would have throttled down or just crashed prior to frying ?

I'm not givivg facts here ... I'm asking questions .... WTH !

Have you tried to un plug all electrics from the board and reset cmos , maybe see if you can at least boot to bios ? Jsut asking .
