MONITORS + 120hz (confusing question)

do they make PCI brackets with DVI ports that supports 120hz? beacuse my pc doesnt have a video card and i dont want one and i was wondering if theres a way i can get 120hz on my pc. i got a 120hz monitor but my mobo only goes up to 60hz because im not using a video card.

so i did some search and i found a monitor called "Samsung SA950" info on monitor http://hexus.net/tech/reviews/displa...onitor-review/ and here too http://www.samsung.com/sg/consumer/f.../ls27a950dsxs/

and this monitor can go 3d without support from the video card but now im im confused because im wondering how can it do this and will it even work with my pc. thats why i wanted to know if they made pci brackets so i can put my 120hz monitor to that and run movies in 120hz

u can see my pc info below

You should be able to get 120Hz I believe, but it will be a terrible waste of money tbh. I doubt movies run in 120Hz. As they need to be recorded at 120Hz to make use of it IIRC. So, what you are paying for is extra smoothness in Windows. Tho Youtube vids & movies work with the 3D on that monitor.

The way it does it is by repeating frames. That Samsung monitor has a built in 3D processor so it handles the 3D aspect all on it's own by taking one frame and doubling it and making it 120Hz. This is similar to how 3D TVs work.
So at this point it doesn't matter whether you have a video card installed or not. The monitor will do all the leg work so you can view it in 3D.
